A perfect end to a busy day in the relaxed atmosphere of the Theatre's Cafe Bar.
The Late Night Festival Club provides the chance to chill out with some great music, great beer and good company with festival artists. As always our Late Night Festival Clubs offer the chance to relax after a day or evening of music in a more informal atmosphere.
The Late Night Clubs offer a range of musical styles to finish off the night and this year we kick off on Friday – Valentines Night - with music from the duo Starlarker which performs authentic hand-written songs for the delight and delectation of the modern middle-of-the-road music lover. The duo are veterans of the local music scene and as Starlarker, vocals, acoustic guitar and tenor sax, deliver contemporary lounge folk burnished with intelligent lyrics and delivered with a smattering of gently self-deprecrating humour. If that sounds like your cup of tea then Starlarker might just be your new favourite band.
Back again after their great set 3 years ago, are Sam Martyn and Wolfy O’Hare, a duo who perform traditional and original folk music from a wide range of traditions and sources – blending some of the styles and instruments associated with early music together with contemporary elements. Sam is an established folk singer and instrumentalist; Wolfy has been involved with the early music movement since leaving university in the 1970s.
