Come and relax in the unique and historic setting of the Monks Walk Inn in an informal atmosphere with acoustic music from some of the festival guests.

Pete Bolton & Brian Swinton

Pete Bolton and Brian Swinton who were both part of the old-timey band The Whiskey Dogs. Now working as a duo, they perform a set of earthy, early Americana on fiddle, banjo, mandolin and guitar.

Michael Nagasaka in collaboration with Ben Beattie

Two virtuoso musicians, two of Yorkshire’s favourites come together for the first time to present to audiences saxophone–driven Pop classics to Jazz and Blues favourites with a touch of Gospel added on top with a chance for audiences to join in.  

Michael Nagasaka is a regular performer at the festival and always provides us with top quality musical combinations.  This year we are delighted to welcome Ben Beattie to the festival.

Ben Beattie is a saxophonist, pianist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, session musician and band leader of ‘Ben Beattie’s After Midnight Band’, based in the UK (London and Yorkshire).

Ben Beattie is based in the heart of The North Yorkshire Moors and grew up in Cambridge and Yorkshire. His inspiration comes from people like Jools Holland, Maceo Parker, Johnny Hodges, Candy Dulfer, Ray Charles, David Sanborn, Aretha Franklin, Vulfpeck, Pat Metheney, Jan Garbarek, Big Jay McNeely, Calexico, The Crusaders, Nina Simone, Bob Reynolds, Abdullah Ibrahim, & Branford Marsalis.

Rillen

Rillen is a young English folk trio who write primarily self-penned tunes in an English style which is partially improvised lending itself to the creativity and freedom ingrained in the genre.
